Mentoring Outside the Classroom

Dr. Norman Powell, director of the Call Me MISTER program here at EKU, educates beyond the boundaries of a classroom.  Eastern Kentucky University is part of a national initiative designed to encourage more African-American males to dedicate their lives to becoming role-models in the field of education.

College of Education Hosts First KES Workshop

The College of Education hosted the first Kentucky Eurhythmics Society (KES) workshop on March 21. The event was attended by more than 60 elementary education majors, music majors, Kentucky teachers, and professionals from around the state. The clinician, Dr. David Frego, is President of the American Eurhythmics Society and Chair of the Music Department at the University of San Antonio.
